Originally constructed in 1936, this iconic residence was masterfully designed by the trailblazing architect Paul R. Williams, the first certified African American architect west of the Mississippi. Steeped in architectural significance and cultural legacy, the property has long served as a vibrant nexus of creativity and entertainment.

Its storied history includes such distinguished residents as Orson Welles and Rob Reiner. Today, the top floor — known as the Sunset Bungalow — functions as an elegant private residence, while the lower levels have been thoughtfully reimagined to host creative office suites, a game room, an intimate speakeasy, curated retail kiosks, a secret garden, and a grand rotunda with adjacent salons, all designed to foster community, inspiration, and refined social gatherings.

Heitler Houstoun Architects was engaged to help preserve the character-defining features of the property and to modernize the flow and function of the various spaces, in an effort to ensure that the building continues to thrive as a beacon of entertainment and creative office space on Sunset for generations to come.
